Matt is a designer, an explorer, and a strategist. Matt began his career as a teacher in Shanghai, where he taught mechanical engineering courses. After deciding to pursue a career in design and innovation, Matt moved to Chicago, where he earned his second master's degree in Human-Centered Design. Since then, Matt has worked in innovation consultancies and corporate innovation for nearly three decades.

Matt has launched numerous innovative solutions, ranging from everyday products to new experiences and services. He served many global leading brands. He delivered hundreds of millions of business outcomes for small companies as well as Fortune 50 companies. He has implemented new innovation approaches and operations for the clients he served and the corporations he worked for.

After three decades of innovation practice and leadership, Matt saw a critical disconnect between innovation's strategic goals, strategy, and operation. He chose to focus on bridging that gap and setting a solid foundation for the innovation teams to deliver business outcomes.
